In one of the remaining forest of Scania, there is a place where a large area of dwarf beeches remain ( Fagus sylvatica Tortuosa Group ) . This is the third largest area of dwarf beech trees in the world, fewer than 1500 older specimens in Europe still exist.
Within this forest the dragon tree lives.
